  • Please – Tell Me What Pill Will Cure My Cancer!

Conventional Medicine, in concert with Big Pharma, has done a fine job of convincing people that there is a pill to cure every ill. People are so convinced of this that even when they are skeptical of Big Pharma’s poisonous offerings (as they should be!) and wish to explore alternative treatments and therapies, they still look for a quick, one-pill solution. Unfortunately, it is just not that simple – consider the following exchange:

    Lavine wrote to ask:

What is the best alternative medicine that you would prescribe for the curing/healing of lymphoma that I have in my lymph nodes? I use grape seed extract-just started a few days ago.

Now, Grape Seed Extract is a wonderful, useful, powerfully protective and healing substance – but it is not a “one pill cure” for anything! Here is Dr. Myatt’s reply to Lavina:

    Hi Lavina:

There is no “one best treatment” for ANY type of cancer because each individual’s case has different characteristics. In the case of lymphoma, there are now 35 different sub-types of the disease that have been identified.

Here is information on lymphoma from our website, fully referenced.

Cancer treatment should not be a “do it yourself” proposition unless you have a lot of medical and biochemical background. Even then, consultation with a qualified holistic medical practitioner is what I advise.

Best success on your journey back to health!

  • Can Maxi Multi vitamins cause constipation?

    Beverly recently wrote us:

Hi to you both–always enjoy your e-mails but have a quick question for you—whenever I take your Maxi Multis, 9 a day, I tend to be constipated and hope you can shed a little light on this problem as I feel they are the best vitamins.
    Beverly

This question caused a bit of a stir here, since we consider Maxi Multi to be the very best multiple vitamin available anywhere and we know that it is carefully formulated to be perfect for those with allergies and sensitive digestive systems – here is Dr. Myatt’s response and advice:

    Hi Beverly:

Nope, never heard of constipation from Maxi Multi’s in the 14 years I’ve been making it! (If anyone complains, they claim it causes diarrhea)!

    But, try these three things:

1.) Be sure you are getting 64 ounces of pure water daily. (Dehydration is a common cause of constipation)

2.) Be sure you are getting Essential Fatty Acids daily, including Omega-3 (flax oil and/or fish oil) and Omega-6 (walnut oil, about 1 tsp. per day)

3.) Still think Maxi’s are causing constipation? Begin with 1 cap, 3 times per day. If no problem, move up by one capsule every 3 days until you find your “happy dose.” Hopefully, that will be the recommended 9 caps per day. Sometimes, moving up on the dose of a supplement more slowly helps the body adapt, although again, this applies more to loose bowels than to constipation.

If you’re still having trouble, please visit our bowel health page and take special note of how higher-dose vitamin C can help correct constipation plus offer a whole host of other health benefits.

Hope this does the trick for you! Please keep me posted.

  • More Dental Questions – Is Careless Amalgam Removal Dangerous?

Georgia wrote to ask: What are the possible problems associated with careless removal of mercury from teeth in the conventional manner?

Much of the answer has been covered previously in our HealthBeat News articles and on the Dental Health pages of our website, so the answer here is brief:

Neurological toxicity from increased mercury burden, and altered mouth-currents with possible increase in neurological and cardiac activity (causing things like seizures in susceptible individuals, or altered heart rhythm).

Mercury amalgam removal can be a health-saving procedure, but like anything, it must be done right – this is no place for amateurs! More information from an holistic dentist whom we have come to trust and work with frequently in amalgam removal cases can be found here: Amalgam Removal

  • Fatigue, Poor Sleep, and Low Thyroid – A Connection?

Gary recently wrote us to ask about whether low thyroid function could be causing his low energy and sleep problems and to describe his self-help protocol to us. Of course, as ever, we just cannot make specific recommendations for someone who is not working with Dr. Myatt as a patient, but there is plenty of good general information available on our website nonetheless.

Here is Dr. Myatt’s reply to Gary:

    Hi Gary,

If you have low thyroid function, then you really should get your iodine levels tested. Even if you are on thyroid hormone — in fact, especially if you are on thyroid hormones — there’s a 99.9% chance that you are iodine deficient. And don’t expect your conventional doctor to order this test. We don’t “do” iodine testing and replacement in conventional medicine! Taking iodine if you are found to be low could literally change your life. Here’s the scoop: http://www.drmyattswellnessclub.com/Iodine.htm

Of course, a deficiency of any required nutrient (vitamins, minerals, trace minerals) can cause low energy and disturbed sleep. Please make sure that you are taking a good multiple vitamin / mineral formula with optimal doses of nutrients. Here is what “optimal” looks like: http://www.drmyattswellnessclub.com/supplements.htm (scroll to the vitamin chart on the bottom of the page for optimal dose ranges).

High carb diets are a common cause of exhaustion and insomnia. A simple diet change can often “cure” said problems. http://healthbeatnews.com/news/archives/61

Of course, if your “do-it-yourself” program isn’t helping, I am available for telephone consultations. http://www.drmyattswellnessclub.com/consultations.htm
My staff and I have helped a lot of people, many in very dire circumstances, and we’ve never even seen most of them “in the flesh”!

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes for you.

  • Political Humor – The parable of the talking dog

A young cowboy from Wyoming went off to college, but half way through the semester, he had foolishly squandered all his money.

He called home: “Dad,” he said, “You won’t believe what modern education is developing! They actually have a program here in Laramie that will teach our dog, Ol’ Blue how to talk!”

‘That’s amazing,” his Dad said. “How do I get Ol’ Blue in that program?”

“Just send him down here with $1,000” the young cowboy said. “I’ll get him in the course.”

So, his father sent the dog and $1,000. About two-thirds through the semester, the money again ran out. The boy called home.

“So how’s Ol’ Blue doing son?” his father asks.

“Awesome, Dad, he’s talking up a storm,” says the young man, “but you just won’t believe this – they’ve had such good results they have started to teach the animals how to read!”

“Read!” says his father, “No kidding! How do we get Blue in that program?”

“Just send $2,500, I’ll get him in the class.” replies the son.

The money promptly arrived. But our hero had a problem. At the end of the year, his father would find out the dog can neither talk, nor read. So he shoots the dog.

When he arrives home at the end of the year, his father is all excited. “Where’s Ol’ Blue? I just can’t wait to see him read something and talk!”

“Dad,” the boy says, “I have some grim news. Yesterday morning, just before we left to drive home, Ol’ Blue was in the living room, kicked back in the recliner, reading the Wall Street Journal, like he usually does. Then he turned to me and asked, ‘So, is your daddy still messing’ around with that little redhead who lives in town?”

The father exclaimed, “I hope you shot that son of a gun–before he talks to your Mother!”

    “‘I sure did, Dad!”

    “That’s my boy!”

The kid went on to be a successful lawyer… And soon after that he went on to become a Congressman!
